A day in someone else's life!

Some stories are just tear jerkers, but they still show what "good" there is in this world.

"Susan Spencer-Wendel knows how to spend a year. She left her job as an award-winning criminal courts reporter and went to the Yukon to see the northern lights. Then to Cyprus, to meet family that she never knew. She and her husband, John, took their children on trips on which her daughter got to try on wedding dresses and Susan got kissed by a dolphin. She also got a new dog, put a splendid hut in her backyard and wrote a book. It's called Until I Say Good-Bye, and it's a memoir about the year she says she wanted to devote to joy -- before she's claimed by ALS, a neuromuscular disorder often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease."

I may be double posting...just learning to blog

There are so many examples that can be pulled from the news that the news stations are not even printing.
Did you hear this one:
A 5-year-old North Carolina boy wants to be called “Caleb Batman” after he took control of the family car and steered it to safety when his mom suffered a seizure at the wheel.

Or did you hear about this?

On Valentine's Day in 1997, Albuquerque restaurateur Claus Hjortkjaer gave a cash-strapped young man a helping hand when he couldn't afford a meal. The patron came up about $40 short for dinner with his date and asked to speak with Hjortkjaer who kindly let him off the hook.

"You don't have to worry about paying it back," Hjortkjaer reportedly told the young man. "I made enough money tonight and that's cool."

Hjortkjaer later had to close his restaurant, Le Cafe Miche, but he reopened last week and received a visit from the now 30-something man. He was one of the cafe's first new customers and gave Hjortkjaer a $100 bill for his kindness 16 years ago.

There is a lot of good out there!

A blog dedicated to acknowledging the Good in Mankind!

We need more Good News!  I'm tired of watching the news and hearing only about the murder, the rape, the hit and run, the crime: All back to back!  Where is the GOOD NEWS?
I am dedicating my blog to be:
A place that reaffirms the goodness of Man.
A place to come to feel good about being a part of society.
A place where GOOD NEWS is reported.
Because:
THERE IS MORE GOOD THAN EVIL IN THIS WORLD.
